Beschrijving
This book was written in 1930 by Frank Morrison, whose original intention was to disprove the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The first chapter describes how his total change of premise took place. It is written in scholarly language with long words and long sentences. It is not an easy read – but a compelling one. As he explored the subject with a very objective attitude, he soon discovered that his premise was entirely incorrect and, using scripture and logic as a basis, came to the conclusion that the resurrection as recorded was an undeniable truth.
One by one he takes the various premises put forth over the years (“the disciples stole the body”), analyzes them from every angle, and proves that they are impossible. It is a fascinating read.
As for all the typos, I can only guess that someone took the original text and converted it with OCR to the Kindle version. It is quite disconcerting to see God printed as “Cod” in numerous places. It is sad that a fine scholarly work such as this is is degraded by quite obviously not being proofread before distribution.
If you can read this book and forgive the egregious errors (they are not “typos” – nobody could possibly be that careless), I highly recommend it. Mr. Morrison’s scholarly product deserves better than a hasty reproduction with OCR.
