For us, God has become a question mark, a word without reality. Not that our time wants to be godless – it is rather godless and of a shocking lack of spiritual needs. People of our time would like to believe in God, but they have no concrete idea of God. God is equated with imaginary gods and linked to personal expectations or experiences, and when these do not correspond to one’s own wishes and ideas and are disappointing, one questions God or accuses him.

This book is intended to offer assistance in questioning one’s own concept of God and in getting to know the God who made himself known.
