Reprinted in facsimile, with two of the original volumes (three of four years) to each reprint volume.

A bound set of this monthly magazine of articles on scriptural subjects. Covers the period June 1856-July 1920. Edited by W. Kelly and W. Hocking. Supported by full index of article titles and Scripture references.

The Bible Treasury has truly been treasured wealth of papers on scriptural subjects since first published in June of 1856). William Kelly became editor in January of the following year, and faithfully added to this treasure until a month before his death in 1906. F. E. Race continued through July of 1920.

This 15 (of 16) volume edition contains every issue and restores the original articles missing elsewhere. The index included as a final volume organizes this wealth of commentary into, helpful, accessible articles.

Much of William Kelly’s defense of Biblical Christianity against the seeds of modernism and most of his fresh New Testament translations and commentaries first appeared in The Bible Treasury.

William Kelly (1821-1906) : Biblical Literalist, Conservative Intellectual, and Mystic.

has been called ‘the last prominent survivor of the first generation of Brethren (so-called)’, and was widely acclaimed as an outstanding biblical scholar. During his time in Guernsey, he published much of his own material, as well as overseeing the publication of the writings of other authors in the magazine. His first major book was in 1860, a commentary on the book of Revelation, based on his own Greek text. This was to set the standard of his later publications, of which most were produced while he was in Guernsey.
