Agnes Sanford (1897-1982) was singularly outstanding in the so-called “Inner Healing Movement” of the 1970s, perhaps better known as the “Charismatic Renewal.”

CREATION WAITS was written when Agnes was in her 80s. At that time near the end of her life, she felt called to pray for the healing of “Creation” rather than continuing the more exhausting work of prayer for individual persons which she was most well-known for. Also, for over 50 years, she had been teaching healing to ministers in a School of Pastoral Care. (The school still exists and has a web-site entitled schoolofpastoralcare/healing [.net]. ).

These and her other non-fiction books, give simple practical explanations about the concrete principles of healing achieved through prayer. Agnes’s exuberant and emphatic personality is evident in her writing which has a way of engendering a fullness of concentrated faith which will help very much to render the reader’s healing prayers effective.
